Welcome Tony Parsonage

With the launch of our refreshed identity and the expansion of our services, we are thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Tony Parsonage.

Hailing from Manchester, Tony kickstarted his IT journey as a Solaris administrator, beginning in England and later venturing to Australia. In 2008, he joined mining services provider Thiess as a Linux administrator. Tony then transitioned to Bridgepoint, where he crossed paths with Geoff Hughes, Rob Cargill, and James Thomas, who would eventually co-found Venn in 2015.

Following the merger of Bridgepoint with Telstra, Tony decided to join the team at Flexdata, where he served as a consultant specialising in NetApp and Veeam. Spending a couple of years there, he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience.

Now, Tony joins Venn as a valuable member of our managed backup services team. His expertise spans various technologies and platforms, including Netapp, Veeam, and Cisco UCS.

"We are very excited to have Tony on board with our managed services team," says Paul McGuinness, Venn's newly appointed COO. "As we continue to expand our technical capabilities, it's fantastic to have individuals like Tony join us, bringing additional skills and a wealth of experience to enhance our ability to serve both current and future clients."

When he's not busy at work, Tony indulges in his passion for soccer, or as he prefers to call it, football. With an unwavering dedication to Manchester United, he can often be found engrossed in the thrilling matches of the English Premier League, often alongside his two daughters, who seem to be following in his footsteps and have already joined their own football teams.

He also enjoys a game of golf and is very proud of his claim to fame: a hole in one!
